NACOGDOCHES, Texas—One day after making Southland Conference history by winning its fourth straight regular season title, McNeese softball completed its regular season SLC series sweep over Stephen F. Austin on Sunday with an 11-2 (5 inn.) run-rule win.
McNeese improves to 37-18 overall and finishes the SLC regular season with a 23-4 record. Stephen F. Austin falls to 26-27 overall and 14-13 in the SLC.
The Cowgirls outhit the Ladyjacks 10-3. Four of the 10 Cowgirl hits were extra base hits including three doubles and one triple. McNeese scored at least two runs in four of the five innings and led 6-0 after the second inning.
