LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball head coach Ayla Guzzardo has announced the signing of 6'4" post player Brittany Burton, completing her 2025-26 roster.
"Brittany has great hands and great footwork," said Guzzardo. "She is a player that we know well and it is huge that we get her here in the summer."
Burton comes to McNeese from Monroe, Louisiana where she attended Wossman High. Burton originally signed to play for Guzzardo at Southeastern prior to her senior year at Wossman High but decided to sit out the 2024-25 season.
Prior to her senior season, she helped Wossman to back-to-back state titles in 2022 and 2023.
As a junior, Burton averaged 8.5 points and 6.3 rebounds. She was named to the 2024 LSWA Class 3A All-State Team as an honorable mention selection.
