LAKE CHARLES – McNeese soccer will kick off its 2025 season Thursday, Aug. 14 as they will take on North Dakota at 7 p.m. at Cowgirl Field in the first meeting between the two programs.
The Cowgirls concluded their preseason last week in a match up against Angelina College where they saw two newcomer score,
Giulia Lucarelli in the 46
th minute and
Elizabeth Edomwonyi in the 57
th minute for a 2-0 victory over the Roadrunners.

- Coach Juan Yepes is in his first season as interim head coach after serving two seasons as an assistant coach for the Cowgirls.
- Cowgirls return 21 players, and welcome 10 newcomers consisting of eight freshmen and two transfers.
- Six of the returners started in at least 10 matches last season
- Cowgirls return two goalkeepers (#99 Celeste Marijnissen and #0 Shannon Dempsey), along with the addition of freshman #1 Elizabeth Meisner.
