LAKE CHARLES –McNeese soccer dropped its season opener to North Dakota in a 6-0 loss during Thursday night's match.
The Fighting Hawks jumped out to an early 1-0 lead off a goal in the 18
th minute by Amelia Loeffler. Following that goal came two goals, one in the 36
th minute and one in the 42
nd minute to put the Fighting Hawks up 3-0 leading into halftime. They carried momentum coming out of halftime and tallied three more goals in the 48
th, 59
th, and 76
th minute of the game.
