Cowgirls Return Home Tuesday To Host Southern

LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball returns home Tuesday night, Sept. 16 to host Southern. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Legacy Center.  The match is the last home match until the Cowgirls return home Oct. 9 to host Lamar in is SLC home opener. Admission is free to all Cowgirl home matches.

McNEESE NOTES
• This will the first home match since its Sept. 6 match against UL-Monroe. 
 
• Will be the last home match until Oct. 9 when the Cowgirls host Lamar in its Southland home opener.  
 
• McNeese will look to snap a four-match losing streak following an 0-2 record at the Florida A&M Invitational over the weekend.  McNeese lost a five-set match to Florida A&M on Friday before falling in straight sets to Georgia State on Saturday.
 
• The Cowgirls will travel to Houston this weekend to take part in the Houston Cougar Challenge.  The Cowgirls will face Liberty at 11 a.m. and North Alabama at 4 p.m. on Friday before closing out tournament action against Houston at 7 p.m. Saturday.
 
D'Nari Mills continues to lead the team with 103 kills and is second on the team with 86 digs.  Lauren Fuller leads the team with 105 digs, Kinga Ziolkowska leads the team with 182 assists   and 11 aces.  Jordan Gamble leads the team with 23 blocks.
 
• Head coach Sasha Karelov is in her fourth season with the Cowgirls.
 
• McNeese returns three players from last season (seniors Kayla Wilson and Lauren Fuller and sophomore Corynne Hausler).
 
• The 2025 roster consists of 15 newcomers including eight freshmen.
