LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will travel to Houston, Texas this weekend for the Houston Cougar Challenge, Sept. 19-20.  The tournament marks the final regular season tournament for the Cowgirls who enter Friday's 4 p.m. match against Liberty with a 4-5 record following its 3-1 home win over Southern.
 
Friday's match is the first of the next seven road/neutral matches for the Cowgirls who will return home on Oct. 9 to host Lamar in its Southland home opener.
 
McNeese will also face North Alabama Friday (4 p.m.) and Houston at 7 p.m. Saturday.  The Houston match is the only match that will stream on ESPN+.  All tournament matches will have livestats.

• Coming off a 3-1 win over Southern on Tuesday to improve to 4-5 on the year.
 
• Kayla Wilson led McNeese in the win with her best offensive performance of the season with 16 kills and a .452 hitting percent.
 
• Ava Henry ended the match with 12 kills and a .364 hitting percent.
