LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will open Southland Conference action on the road for its first four matches beginning Thursday at Southeastern and at New Orleans on Saturday.  Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
McNeese (4-8) will look to snap a three-match losing streak following losses against Liberty, North Alabama, and Houston last weekend at the Houston Cougar Challenge.
 
Southeastern, who is coached by former Cowgirl head coach Lee McBride is in his second season at Southeastern and first as head coach.  The Lady Lions enter the match with an 8-4 record after its 3-0 win over Southern on Tuesday.
 
UNO (5-8) will face Nicholls on Thursday before hosting McNeese on Saturday.

• Coming off an 0-3 record at the Houston Cougar Challenge last weekend with its losses coming against Liberty, North Alabama, and Houston
 
• Will open SLC action on the road for its first four matches including its SLC opener at Southeastern on Thursday followed by a match at UNO on Saturday.
 
• D'Nari Mills continues to lead the team with 136 kills and is second on the team with 124 digs
 
• Ava Henry leads the team with a .307 hitting percent and is second on the team in kills (102) and blocks (13).
 
• Kinga Ziolkowska leads the team in assists (267) and service aces (11)
 
• Jordan Gamble leads the team with 29 blocks.
 
• Head coach Sasha Karelov is in her fourth season with the Cowgirls and is two wins shy of 50 career wins.
 
• McNeese returns three players from last season (seniors Kayla Wilson and Lauren Fuller and sophomore Corynne Hausler).
 
• The 2025 roster consists of 15 newcomers including eight freshmen.
