LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball fell short in handing UT-Arlington (5-0) its first loss of the season Friday night on the second day of the Cowgirl Classic, falling to the Mavericks in five sets (25-23, 25-13, 19-25, 20-25, 15-6). The five-set match is the third five-set match for the Cowgirls this season who are 2-1 in five set matches.
McNeese falls to 3-2 on the season with the loss and will close out tournament play against UL-Monroe at 1 p.m. Saturday. UTA will face Alcorn at 10:30 a.m. prior to the Cowgirls' match.
Admission is free for all tournament matches as well as all Cowgirl home matches.
