LAKE CHARLES-- Two days after clinching a share of the Southland Conference regular season title, McNeese women's basketball will look secure the outright title when they host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi this Saturday, Feb. 21. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m.
It's also senior day for six Cowgirls (
Lexi Alexander, Jalencia Pierre,
Arianna Patton,
Allasia Washington,
Kaili Chamberlin, Monique Powell) and manager Andrew Mitchell. These seniors will be honored following the game.
McNeese (23-4, 17-1 SLC) is coming off a 60-53 win over UTRGV on Saturday and will look to pick up its second win over Texas A&M-CC (5-20, 4-14 SLC). The Islanders are coming off a 76-69 road win at Southeastern on Thursday.
The Cowgirls will look to win its second game over the Islanders this season after picking up a 59-42 win in Corpus Christi, Texas in mid-January.
