WACO, Texas-- McNeese softball dropped the series finale at Baylor on Sunday by a score of 8-0 (5 inn.).
McNeese falls to 15-7 overall while Baylor improves to 13-6 overall.
The Cowgirls committed three errors and were held to one hit, that coming from
Maddie Weeks who singled to center in the second inning.
Baylor scored their eight runs on nine hits and took a 1- lead in the second inning then added for in the third and three more in the fifth.
The Cowgirls used three pitchers in the game.
Brookelyn Taylor suffered her second loss of the season after giving up five runs on seven hits in 3.0 innings.
Ryann Schexnayder allowed two runs on one hit in 1.0 innings and
Kadence Williams gave up one run on one hit in 1/3 innings.
McNeese will remain on the road and will travel to Houston on Tuesday for a 6 p.m. game that will stream on ESPN+.
