The 2026 Southland Conference regular season champs and No. 1 seeded McNeese Cowgirls will play No. 4 UTRGV at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in the Southland Conference Tournament semifinal round. General admission tickets for the game are just $10 while standing room only tickets can be purchased for $5. McNeese students get in free with a valid ID.
UTRGV (20-12, 16-6 SLC) defeated the NW State 76-67 Tuesday morning in the quarterfinals.
McNeese won both meetings against UTRGV, winning 70-54 in Edinburg, Texas on Jan. 17 and 60-53 in Lake Charles on Feb. 19.
The Cowgirls (27-4, 21-1 SLC) have won a school record 27 games and are making their 24
th overall tournament appearance and will be looking to win the tournament title for just the third time in program history with the last title coming on 2012.
McNeese will carry a 20-game winning streak into the tournament, currently the third longest in the nation. The Cowgirls have also won 23 of their last 25 games.
