LAKE CHARLES-- McNeese women's tennis (12-1, 2-0 SLC) returns home Saturday for the first time since Feb. 7 to host Northwestern State in a 1 p.m. Southland Conference match. The Cowgirls will remain home to host Stephen F. Austin on Monday, March 23 for an 11 a.m. match.
The Cowgirls enter the match on a seven-match winning streak following its 5-2 road win at Incarnate Word on March 2 and sit right behind the Lady Demons in the SLC standings who enter the match 8-4 overall and perfect in the SLC at 4-0.
Ana Hollweg leads the Cowgirls with a 12-1 singles record,
Elena Morales is right behind with a 11-1 record.
The Cowgirls doubles team of Hollweg and
Naomi Hagi are 10-2 on the season.
Martina Acebedo leads the Lady Demons with a 9-1 singles record while she and Athina Grigoriadou are 6-2 in doubles.
