LAKE CHARLES- McNeese first year head women's basketball coach Ashton Feldhaus began assembling her 2026-27 staff with the hiring of Dominique Miller, Madison Kellione, and Maaliya Owens.  Miller and Kellione will join Feldhaus from Morehead State while Owens comes to McNeese from Tennessee Tech.

Miller spent one season (2025-26) with Feldhaus at Morehead State prior to spending six seasons in various coaching capacities at Valparaiso.

"Dominique brings a relentless work ethic and unwavering loyalty me and to our program every single day," Feldhaus said.  "She leads by example and sets the tone for what it means to show up, stay committed, and do the work when no one is watching. Our players and staff know they can count on her in any situation, and her dedication to this program never wavers. She represents everything we want our culture to stand for."

Miller was a full-time assistant coach for three seasons for the Beacons following one campaign as Director of Basketball Operations. She was a graduate assistant for two seasons starting in 2019-20.

Miller mentored the Beacons during a 2023-24 season in which they finished second in the MVC in steals per game and among the Top 50 nationally in 3-pointers per game.

Miller was a standout student-athlete at her alma mater, Ohio. She earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors for the third straight season following her senior year and ranked second in the conference and 50th in the nation in 3-point percentage. She started all 36 games for the Bobcats and averaged 10.0 points per game.

She started all 31 games as a junior after playing in 28 games as a sophomore and 31 as a freshman. The Athens, Ohio native earned her undergraduate degree in sports administration from Ohio. She was also a standout in her hometown at Athens High School.

Kellione spent the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach under Cowgirl head coach Ashton Feldhaus at Morehead State. Kellione played one season at Marshall (2024-25).  Prior to Marshall, she spent one season at Tennessee Tech (2023-24) after beginning her playing career at Transylvania.

"Maddie has a special gift for connecting with our players and helping them grow both on and off the court," said Feldhaus. "She pours so much time and energy into player development, making sure our athletes not only improve their skills but also gain confidence in who they are. The relationships she builds with our players are genuine, and they know she truly cares about their success in every area of life. She's an invaluable part of what we're building here."

Kellione had a decorated playing career, helping Transylvania win the 2022-23 NCAA Division III National Championship, where she was named Most Valuable Player. She was a WBCA First-Team All-American and a D3Hoops Second-Team All-American in 2022-23.

Kellione was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Year that season and earned the conference Female Athlete of the Year. Perhaps her most prestigious honor came at the NCAA Championship where she was crowned the Elite 90 winner, the highest honor for any student-athlete competing at the NCAA's 90 championship events.

She guided Transylvania to four straight HCAC titles while scoring 1,500+ points and dishing out 400+ assists.

She had an award-winning high school career as well, at Harrison County in Kentucky. Kellione was named the 2019 KABC 10th Region Player of the Year and was a KABC Miss Kentucky Basketball candidate. Also in 2019, she was named First-Team All-Region and District All-Tournament. Kellione was a Lexington Herald-Leader All-State Honorable Mention and Louisville Courier-Journal All-State Honorable Mention selection in 2019 too.

Kellione earned her bachelor's degree from Transylvania in 2023 and received her Master's Degree at Marshall in 2025.

Owens begins her collegiate coaching career following a standout career at Tennessee Tech.

"Maaliya is an exciting addition to our staff, and we couldn't be more fired up to have her join us," said Feldhaus.  "She comes from a decorated playing career and understands what it takes to compete and win at a high level. The energy and passion she brings to the gym every single day are contagious, and our players will benefit from her experience and competitive spirit. She's going to make an immediate impact on our program and the culture we're building."

Owens competed for five seasons in the Ohio Valley Conference. During her time with the Golden Eagles, she helped lead the program to the 2023 OVC Tournament Championship and earned All-OVC Tournament Team honors twice. She was also a two-time first team All-OVC selection and a two-time OVC All-Tournament Team honoree.

Owens was a key contributor throughout her career at Tennessee Tech, finishing with over 1,500 career points and setting the program's single-season record for three-pointers made during both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. She was also named the OVC Preseason Player of the Year for the 2023-24 season.

Following her playing career at Tennessee Tech, Owens spent two seasons coaching at Great Crossing High School, gaining experience in player development, game preparation, and program building at the high school level.

Prior to her collegiate career, Owens had a decorated high school career at Scott County High School in Kentucky, where she was named a KHSAA Miss Kentucky Basketball finalist in 2019, a McDonald's All-American nominee, and the recipient of the Donna Murphy Award.
