ROME, Ga.—McNeese women's tennis fell 4-0 to No. 3 seed Arkansas State here Tuesday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the UTR Sports NIT Championship, ending the Cowgirls historic season with a 22-3 record .
Arkansas State (14-9), who is making its first postseason appearance will advance with the win.
The Red Wolves won the double point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 to take an overall 1-0 match lead. A-State then won the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles to clinch the overall match.
