LAKE CHARLES - In conjunction with the naming of Navarre Stadium, all McNeese sports teams will possess a Navarre Chevrolet patch on its respective jerseys this season, which was revealed on Tuesday.
Â
"We are honored to have Navarre Chevrolet proudly represented across the chest of our student-athletes," said
Matt Fontenot, McNeese Deputy AD and MAF Executive Director. "Ryan Navarre is a champion in everything he does, making this branding opportunity a perfect fit for our department and Ryan!"
Â
Beginning this season, Division I programs are permitted to feature up to two commercial sponsor patches on uniforms during the preseason and regular season.
Â
It's believed that McNeese is the first athletic department in the Southland Conference to have every sport program include the same sponsor for each jersey.
Â
Last year, Ryan Navarre signed a $5 million naming rights agreement for the football stadium, the largest naming rights gift in both McNeese Athletics and Southland Conference history.
