WBB: Feldhaus Releases 2026-27 Schedule

| By:
LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball first year head coach Ashton Feldhaus has announced the 2026-27 schedule in conjunction with the Southland Conference releasing the league schedule.

The reigning Southland Conference regular season champions will play 15 home games and five non-conference games against in-state schools.  The Cowgirls will open the season against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Nov. 2 in its annual education game.

"We are really excited about the schedule we have in front of us," said Feldhaus. "We're especially excited about the number of in-state games and the opportunity to compete against really good teams in our own backyard. These games will challenge us, create some fun environments, and give us a chance to see where we are as a team early in the season. We are excited for these opportunities, and I believe they will prepare us well for Southland Conference play."

In-state home games include Louisiana Tech (Nov. 8) and UL-Lafayette (Dec. 9), and the in-state road contest are at Grambling (Nov. 5), LSU (Nov. 10), and Tulane (Nov. 16).

Other non-conference road games are at Southern Miss (Nov. 18) and the St. Pete Showcase (Nov. 26-28) where the Cowgirls will face College of Charleston and North Dakota State.

The Cowgirls will begin to defend their regular season title on Dec. 3 by hosting Incarnate Word in its Southland Conference opener.
