HAMMOND – The McNeese Cowgirl soccer team (5-4-0) continues its four-game road swing Thursday night when it heads east to take on Southeastern (4-3-1) at Strawberry Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Cowgirls enter Thursday night's match coming off a 1-0 loss at Sam Houston on Sunday, marking the first time they have been shut out this season. Twenty-one different players saw action on the pitch against the Bearkats, with Alexandra Arvanitis, Isabella Baltov and Caitlyn Trosclair each playing all 90 minutes. Celeste Marijnissen also played all 90 minutes in goal, recording seven saves.

The Lions were picked to finish fifth in the Southland Conference Preseason Poll, receiving one vote for first place. Southeastern enters Thursday's match on a two-game losing streak following a 3-1 loss at South Alabama and a 2-0 loss to West Florida. The Lions are led this season by Alexandra Knight with five goals and Brooke Opferman with four.
