LAKE CHARLES – The McNeese Cowgirl soccer team (3-3-0) hits the road for the next four games, with their first stop in Ruston at Louisiana Tech (2-2-1) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Robert Mack Caruthers Field. The match will stream live on ESPN+.

The Cowgirls enter Thursday's matchup coming off a 4-1 loss at home against UL Lafayette on Sunday.

UL Lafayette jumped out to an early 1-0 lead before Isabella Baltov responded three minutes later, finding the back of the net for her second goal of the season with the assist from Ashley Guild, who was credited with the first assist of her collegiate career.

The Ragin' Cajuns scored twice more before halftime to take a 3-1 lead into the break before adding one more goal in the second half to secure the 4-1 victory.

Louisiana Tech enters Thursday's match with a 2-2-1 overall record and was picked to finish 13th in the Sun Belt Conference Preseason Poll. The Bulldogs come into the match on a two-match winning streak after defeating Stephen F. Austin, 3-1, and Houston Christian, 1-0, over the past week.

McNeese will be Louisiana Tech's sixth Southland Conference opponent of the season, with the Bulldogs set to face their seventh on Sunday when they take on Northwestern State.
