RUSTON – The McNeese Cowgirl soccer team (4-3-0) continues its four-game road swing Sunday when it heads north to take on Grambling (1-3-1) at the Ruston Sports Complex. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.
The Cowgirls enter Sunday's matchup coming off a 2-0 victory over in-state opponent Louisiana Tech on Thursday.

McNeese opened the scoring in the 38th minute when Caitlyn Trosclair headed a corner kick from Morgan Fiedler into the net to give the Cowgirls a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. The goal marked the first of Trosclair's collegiate career.

The Cowgirls doubled their advantage in the 64th minute, converting on another corner kick. Isabella Baltov sent the ball into the box, where Vitoria Mitre headed it into the net to extend McNeese's lead to 2-0. The assist marked the first of Baltov's collegiate career.

Grambling enters Sunday's contest following a 4-2 loss to Houston Christian on Thursday.

The Lady Tigers were picked to finish second in the SWAC Preseason Poll, receiving one vote for first place. Kaylen Jankans was named the SWAC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and earned Preseason All-SWAC First Team honors, while Nyla Dore-Anderson and Olivia Kowall were selected to the Preseason All-SWAC Second Team.
