2021 (Redshirt Junior):
• Led team and ranked 14th in SLC with 36 catches... 463 receiving yards topped the Cowboys and ranked 12th in the league... Hauled in three touchdown passes... Starter in all 11 games... Averaged 12.9 yards per catch and 42.1 receiving yards per game, also a team high... Caught at least 2 passes in all 11 games... Career-high 8 catches adn 88 yards receiving in season opener vs. West Florida... TD catches vs. West Florida, at Southern and at Southeastern.
2021 Spring (Redshirt Junior):
• Third Team All-SLC Selection... Team leader with 32 receptions and 458 receiving yards and ranking fourth in the Southland Conference in both... Ranked 4th in the league with four TD catches... Averaged 14.3 yards per catch and 65.4 receiving yards per game... Caught 7 passes for 147 yards and two TDs in a win over 11th-ranked Nicholls... 6 catches for 95 yards and a TD at Sam Houston in season finale.
At Louisiana Tech
2019 (Redshirt Sophomore):
• Saw action in 12 games... Registered first career reception versus UMass (10/12), going for 36 yards.
2018 (Redshirt Freshman):
• Saw action in four games, did not record any stats... Made his first career appearance at Florida Atlantic (10/26).
2017 (Freshman):
• Redshirted as a true freshman, did not see action.
High School:
• Graduated from The Dunham School in 2017... Lettered in football, basketball and track... Coached by Neil Weiner.
Personal:
• Born on May 3, 1999 in New Orleans, Louisiana... Son of Roshaun and Nicole Matthews... Has two siblings - Jordan and Lauryn... Father played football at LSU and Southern and also professionally in the NFL Europe where he was named the 2001 NFLE Defensive MVP as a member of the Amsterdam Admirals and All-NFLE honors... Brother, Jordan, is one of the top CBs in Louisiana while his sister, Lauryn, is an up and coming varsity volleyball player.
