Slated to return to his starting role in leftfield...has been a steady performer for the Cowboys both in the field and at the plate...batted .340 for the entire season last year and was the team’s top hitter in SLC play with a .371 mark..ended season on five game hitting streak..15 multi hit games...perfect 4 for 4 vs UT Arlington...hit three home runs....nine stolen bases was third high on team...played in only 22 games as a sophomore but started 34 games as a freshman...prep career at Sulphur High had him earning all-state honors and being named MVP on SW La. team...played shortstop...inducted into SW La. prep Hall of Fame in 2006...football wide receiver and defensive back...birthdate 1/27/88...parents are John and Lynda Riche’..grandfather is SW La. coaching great Billy Lantrip...uncle is baseball great Alvin Dark...aunt Cherilyn Lantrip played softball at McNeese and is the school’s Hall of Fame..Health Promotions major
