Prior to joining the Cowboys in August 2023, Durham was an assistant coach and high school recruiting coordinator at Texas Wesleyan University where he served for just over a year in the position after acting as a volunteer assistant coach for another year. While with the program, he helped them to 37-win season and a SAC Conference Championship. His assistance helped develop the SAC Player of the Year and an NAIA First Team All-American.
In his first season with the Cowboys, he helped them reach the Southland Conference Title Game while going 32-27 on the season. He served as the third base coach and helped improve the offensive effort of the team.

Before joining the Rams, he was the director of operations and commissioner at Dallas Classic Baseball for just over seven years. He helped develop and expand the organization where possible and create a better environment before departing.

Durham was a minor league coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates for two seasons after he concluded his playing career in the minors with the Pirates. He was selected to the Carolina League All Star team in 2009.

Durham graduated with his bachelor's degree from UT-Arlington in University Studies, proceeding to work on his post-graduate degree in Kinesiology at Northwestern State and Texas A&M Commerce before being drafted in 2006.

While with the Demons, he played under Hill for the 2004 and 2005 seasons. During that period, they won a regular season championship in the Southland and received an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament.
