High School: Texas Class 5A All-Star Football Game participant… Reagan Offensive Player of the Year… unanimous 1st team all-district selection and 1st team All-Greater San Antonio area… Helped team to a 10-1 record and a district title… Played in just two games as a junior due to an injury… Started at left guard in those two games… Starter at right guard as a sophomore as team won district title… Lettered in track and field where he threw the shot put and discus.
