2021 (Redshirt Junior): Everyday starting left fielder starting 52 of 56 games played in... hit 6 home runs... drove in 22 RBIs... led the team with 19 stolen bases... fifth on team with 76 total bases... third on team with three triples... hit two home runs against Nicholls (5/15)... recorded 14 multi-hit games... had a .990 fielding percentage... Southland Conference All-Defense Left Fielder.

2020 (Junior): Appeared and started all 17 games of the shortened season... hit .259 while hitting two home runs... drove in 12 runs... had two doubles and a triple... stole 3 bags.

2019 (Sophomore): Appeared in 41 of 61 games and started in 26 games… ended the season with a new career high .242 batting average… recorded six RBI off of 24 hits including two doubles and one home run…had one of his best outings of the year against UL-Monroe going 2 for 3 at the plate, drove in two runs, and stole one base… posted a slugging percentage of .293, and was fourth on the team in stolen bases with 13. 

2018 (Freshman): Appeared in 28 games and started in four games… ended the season with a .154 batting average… recorded three RBI with four hits throughout the year…had one of his best outings of the year against Central Arkansas going 1 for 3 at the plate and scoring two runs … posted a slugging percentage of .154, scored 10 runs, and posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage throughout his freshman season.

High School: As a senior at St. Louis Catholic High School in Lake Charles, earned 1st Team All-District honors as an outfielder… also All-Southwest Louisiana and All-State… member of the West Team in the 2017 Louisiana All-Star game… team finished as the state runner-up in the playoffs… earned 1st team all-district honors as a utility player as a junior and honorable mention honors his sophomore season… played three years under head coach John-Michael Collins… 2017 Academic All-State.

Personal: Born April 19, 1999… son of Jose and Lauren Gonzales, who both attended McNeese… graduated with Honors Diploma with a 4.13 GPA… member of the National Honors Society and Ambassadors… majoring in biology pre-med... minor in chemistry and a minor in psychology...McNeese Student Athlete of the Month...McNeese Academic Spotlight...2021 McNeese Community Impact Student-Athlete of the Year... 2021 Southland Conference Steve McCarty Citizenship
