High School: Hit .300 his senior season and was named team Captain as well as garnering a spot on the Southwest Louisiana All-Star team… All-District as a senior… played four years of baseball under Coach John Michael Collins and four years of football under Coach Charlie Cryer… 3-time 1st Team All-District and 2-time 2nd Team All-Southwest Louisiana selection in football… 1st Team Academic All-District in both baseball and football… baseball team played in state championship game his senior season.
 
Personal: Born June 28, 1999… son of Mark and Vesta Johnston… father played football at LSU where he was a flanker from 1979-81… majoring in business administration.
