Jimmie Bunting

Jimmie Bunting was elevated to Director of Strength and Conditioning in 2021 after spending the last two years as the Associate Director. 

Born on August 31,1991 he is a native of Brock, Nebraska and the son of Dolores Bunting. He attended Concordia University, Nebraska where he graduated in 2014 and was a two year letter winner playing football. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Fitness Studies.

Following his time as an undergrad, he served as a football strength and conditioning intern at a multitude of universities. He started at Colorado State University in 2015 and then Bunting interned at two Big Ten schools: University of Wisconsin and Ohio State University in 2016, and 2017, respectively. 

After his years in the Midwest, Bunting accepted a position as a graduate assistant at Colorado State where he was the Sr. Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach for football from 2017-2019. He earned a Master's Degree in Adult Education and Training. 

When he isn't leading the McNeese Football strength program, Jimmie enjoys working out, reading, and spending time outdoors. 

He attended Johnson Brock High School and lettered in football, basketball, track, baseball, and power-lifting. He was All State Football, East/West Nebraska All Star Football Game participant, 2008 power-lifter of The Year, 3rd Place Nebraska State power-lifting 2006.
