Biography

The top returning batsman on the Cowboy team, he won the triple crown last year with a .372 batting average, eight home runs and 52 RBIs....he ranked among the nation’s top hitters in all three categories also....he was also tops on the team in doubles with 20 and in slugging percentage with a .639 mark...in Southland Conference games only he batted .398 with seven home runs and 35 RBIs and he had a .745 slugging percentage...at one time during the season he had a 17 game hitting streak....he committed only three errors in 291 chances....made most of his starts behind the plate but also saw some time at first base...belted three home runs against UT Arlington....had 15 multi-hit games....in a conference series with Southeastern Louisiana he had nine hits in 15 at bats and drove in 10 runs...

PRE-MCNEESE: played one season of ball at Seminole State College before transferring to McNeese...batted .310 with four home runs....prepped at Carney (OK) High School....all-state honors in baseball and played shortstop, third base and pitcher...four letters....batted .610 with 23 home runs....district MVP and all-regional...three letters in football as a linebacker
