Appeared in 18 games last year....all in relief .... posted a 1-1 record along with an 8.44 ERA...in conference outings only he was 1-0 with a 3.98 ERA for 20.1 innings....victory came over Southeastern Louisiana when he hurled 2.2 innings of one hit, one run ball in relief...pitched 4.1 innings of three hit, one run ball vs Texas A&M

PRE-McNEESE: played at Barbe High and was a member of 2006 stsate champion team...four on four district championship teams..was 12-1 with 103 strikeouts in senior year...won 29 games in prep career...all-state, all-district and member of Louisville Slugger prep all-America team...four letters in basketball as guard and helped team win district title

PERSONAL: birthdate 6/18/88...parents are Dennis and Kim...cousin is former Cowboy pitcher Craig Martel....honor student in Chemistry
