2021 (Junior):
• Appeared in all 11 games and recorded two sacks, three tackles for a loss and 10 total tackles… Broke up a pass, forced a fumble and had a QB hurry… Two sacks, a forced fumble and a pass break-up in a Homecoming win over nationally ranked UIW.
2021 Spring (Junior):
• Saw action in all seven games and recorded 12 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two tackles for a loss, one pass break-up and forced a fumble… Season-high four tackles with a sack, 1.5 TFL and forced a fumble against Southeastern Louisiana… Two tackles each against Tarleton State, UIW and Northwestern State… Had half a sack and TFL along with a PBU vs. UIW.
2019 (Sophomore):
• Appeared in all 12 games, making 13 tackles with two sacks, 2.5 tackles for a loss, two QB hurries, forced fumble and fumble recovery… Had a sack in back-to-back games at Abilene Christian and vs. Sam Houston… Season-high five tackles at Oklahoma State (Sept. 6).
2018 (Freshman):
• Made six tackles on the season in nine games played… High of four stops at HBU in the second week of the season… Also had a half TFL in that game.
High School:
• First Team All-District and Louisiana Class 5A All-State Honorable Mention as a senior… team Captain… I-10 All-Star Game participant… All-Southwest Louisiana Big Schools Team… Anchored the Bucs defensive line as a starter all season… Collected 64 tackles with 15 tackles for a loss, five sacks, forced two fumbles and intercepted a pass… Guided Barbe to its second consecutive district title with an 11-2 overall record and second round appearance in the state playoffs… 2nd team all-district honors as a junior… Did not start playing HS football until his sophomore season… Competed in the discus event on the track and field team… Four year honor roll student… Member of the National Honor Society… Perfect attendance for classes the last two years… Nominated as the school’s Best Athlete and was on the TWIRP Court.

• Born July 22, 2000… Son of Sharon Semien… Full name is Clophus Joseph “CJ” Semien… Looking forward to playing under the lights this season… Playing for his fourth Cowboy head coach… Claims to have a talent as a dog whisperer… Aspires to becoming a doctor after watching a friend of his pass away two years ago and wants to be able to help people and make a difference in their lives.
