Jordan Lee is in his first season with the McNeese Cowboys and will coach cornerbacks.
Lee comes to McNeese after spending the 2023 season as a graduate assistant at Arizona State where he coached safeties and nickel backs.
A Los Angeles native, Lee earned All-Mountain West Conference honors as a member of Nevada’s defensive backfield, where he played from 2018-21 before transferring to Washington State his senior season in 2022.
In his four seasons at Nevada, he played in all 47 games recording 147 tackles with an interception, 11.5 tackles for a loss and a sack. He also batted down seven passes, forced five fumbles while recovering six loose balls.
His senior season in 2021, he earned All-Mountain West Conference honors at strong safety after making 86 tackles and recovering five fumbles along with forcing four fumbles. He ranked third on the team that season in total tackles, including leading the squad with 67 solo stops. He recorded a season-high 14 tackles at Colorado State on Nov. 27.
He was a three-time Mountain West All-Academic honoree.
In his graduate transfer season at Washington State, Lee appeared in seven games and made 37 tackles including 3.5 tackles for a loss, and forced a fumble.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nevada in Community Health Sciences-Public Health in the fall of 2021 with a 3.3 GPA. In the fall of 2022, he received his Bachelor’s in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Criminal Justice, Human Development and Psychology with a 3.3 GPA from Washington State. And in the fall of 2023, earned his Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Arizona State, graduating with a 3.97 GPA.
He prepped at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas where he was a two-sport athlete in football and track & field. There, he helped lead his squad to back-to-back state championships in football and a state championship in track & field. He was an all-state football player as a senior where he recorded 36 tackles with a sack, picked off eight passes and scored three touchdowns.
