Marco Sanchez is in his second year with the Cowboys as a defensive backs coach. He came to McNeese for the 2022 year, following head coach Gary Goff from Valdosta State where he assisted with the defensive backs.
Sanchez began working as a student assistant at Chadron State 2017, and in 2019, was promoted to a coaching assistant position and assumed coaching responsibilities specifically with the defensive backfield.
Sanchez completed his bachelor's degree at CSC in the spring of 2019, and twice, in 2017 and 2018, he was named the Physical Education Major of the Year by the CSC health, physical education and recreation department and nominated to the Society of Health & Physical Educators of Nebraska.
Sanchez is a native of Casper, Wyoming, where he played football and basketball, and graduated with honors from Kelly Walsh High in 2013.
