Biography

He’s shifted to defensive end this season and is expected to be one of the better ones in the nation...Sports Network has rated him one of the top 10 defensive linemen in the nation’s FCS division heading into the season....he earned his second straight first team all-conference honor last year......quick as a cat and very athletic...very hard to block...top performer on the team in the weight room in the clean with a 345 pound lift...third in the squat at 650...benches 355....4.67 speed...has a vertical jump of 34-5...moved from defensive tackle where he played for three campaigns

2010: first team all-conference and all-Louisiana...65 tackles of which 7.5 were for a loss and he also had four sacks...five QB hurries and he recovered two fumbles...blocked a field goal vs Sam Houston St.....named Louisiana player of week vs Nicholls...13 tackles vs Nicholls and 10 vs Sam Houston

2009: first team all-conference...second on squad with 77 tackles..also had seven TFLs, two sacks, team high three fumble recoveries...set school record by returning two of those fumbles for tds, 29 yards vs Northwestern State, end zone recovery against Savannah State (also forced fumble)....12 tackles vs New Hampshire, nine vs Henderson State and SFA, eight vs NW State, seven vs Tulane...named team defensive player of game vs Henderson State and Northwestern State

2008: injured in second game and missed season; received that year back
two-time first team all-Southland Conference pick...has been picked as one of the top 10 linemen in the FCS in a pre-season poll by the Sports Network

2007: played as a true freshman and played in nine games and credited with 24 tackles..had a sack, three QB hurries, forced two fumbles and recovered two fumbles..six tackles vs SFA, four vs C. Arkansas..made a sack in his very first game

High School: all-state, all-district and all-NE La...team captain..team defensive MVP...78 tackles and four sacks in senior year...track (discus) letter...honor roll and named to Who’s Who
