2014 All-SLC Honorable Mention


2014:  Played in all 11 games and made eight starts... recorded 29 tackles and had 1.5 tackles for a loss... led the team with seven pass break ups and intercepted two passes...   had a season-high seven tackles, all seven solos to tie a career best, against Abilene Christian... picked off passes against Prairie View and Nicholls... three PBUs against ACU... five tackles with a tackle for a loss against Stephen F. Ausitn (Nov. 8).

2013:  Starter in all 13 games at the cornerback position... seventh on the team in total tackles with 48 and tied for second with two pass interceptions... had a half tackle for a loss and a team-high 10 pass break ups... recorded career-high 8 tackles, 7 solo, in win over West Alabama in week three of the season... interceptions came against West Alabama and Sam Houston State.

2012:  finished the season with 31 tackles to go along with 3.5 tackles for a loss and a half a sack... had three pass break ups, one quarterback hurry and forced a fumble... recorded a season-high with five tackles on three different occasions - vs. McMurry (Sept. 8), at Weber State (Sept. 15) and at Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 22)... had 1.5 tackles for a loss and a half sack at SLU... four stops vs. Northwestern State, Central Arkansas and at Nicholls... played in all 11 games and made one start, that coming against Northwestern State.

2011:  redshirted.

High School:  three times named to all-district tream as both a defensive back and a receiver at Sealy (TX) High...in senior season he had 42 tackles and six pass interceptions as well as catching passes for 782 yards and 12 tds....he also had 403 yards in kick returns...basketball and track letters....all-district twice in basketball and regional track qualifier twice.

Other:  born June, 1992... son of Shelly Hamner and Kevin Browning... has a son, Nathan Hamner.
