Has taken over the starting role at tight end after a good season last year and a strong performance in the spring...caught three passes for 22 yards in spring game...excellent blocker and has good hands...has good speed for a big man (4.68)...also has gone 335 in the bench press and 630 in the squat

2010: caught seven passes for 79 yards...caught two passes for 40 yards against Texas State and two for 22 yards vs Central Arkansas...started two games (Missouri and Nicholls)

2009: used mainly for his blocking and earned his first letter.

Pre-McNeese: played one season for Texas A&M after redshirting in 2007

High School: all-district tight end at Chavez High...31 catches for 450 yards and seven tds as senior...36 catches for 500 yards as junior...had career total of 131 receptions...rated one of nation’s top prep tight ends coming out...also basketball letter as power forward
