Coming off a good spring and will enter the season as the No. 3 performer at defensive tackle...very strong individual....ranks No. 2 on the team in the squat with a 680 pound effort...also 315 in the clean (4th) and 350 in the bench press....has 5.15 speed to go with that...had one tackle in the spring game...went through a redshirt season last year...also being counted on to do some deep snapping

High School: all-district, all-metro and all-parish...parish MVP...four letters in football as defensive lineman...three letters in track tossing the discus (5th in state meet)...98 tackles as a senior and 115 as a junior

Other: birthdate 1/1/91....Agriculture Science....parents are Richard and Sally Buckland...cousin Dean Buckland played football at Nicholls State
