Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine

Hometown: Houma, LA

Joining the staff in the summer of 2018, Hunter serves as the Head Athletic Trainer for the McNeese Football team and was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for our Sports Medicine Department in July of 2021.

He received his Master’s Degree in Sports Management from The University of Southern Mississippi in May 2018. In his first year as a Graduate Assistant he worked with the Track & Field and Cross Country teams. In his second year, he worked with the football team. 

He had the opportunity to work with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the summers of 2014 and 2015 as an Intern during his undergraduate years.

Hunter graduated from Louisiana State University in 2016, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training after working with the football, and track and field teams, as well as a local high school. 

He is a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer and a Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Louisiana. He holds certifications in First Aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer, as well as Level I Graston Technique and Blood Flow Restriction.

He enjoys hunting, fishing, watching sports, and spending time with his family back home during his free time.
