A steady performer on defense the past three years and should be in for post season honors...pre-season all-SLC...one of the team leaders in tackles for a loss and sacks the last two years....good speed (4.83 in 40) and strength (320 pound bench)...will be starting for the third year...strong on pass rushing...now has 10.5 career sacks...play is similar to former Cowboy all-American Bryan Smith (also from Newton)...

2009: 41 tackles with six TFLs...seven tackles vs C. Arkansas, seven tackles and four TFLs vs SFA...named team defensive player of game vs SFA...all-SLC honorable mention 

2008: 28 tackles and started all 11 games...led team with 5.5 sacks...eight tackles vs Nicholls, five vs S. Dakota State and two sacks

2007: played in all 12 games and had 24 tackles...four tackles vs SE Louisiana...three vs Portland State

High School: all-state, all-district as tight end and defensive end..named to Super Gold team...center in basketball..tossed shot and discus in track..signed with Louisiana Tech out of high school
