Biography

2012:  saw action in just five games but played significant minutes when in the contest, including helping lead the Cowboys to an upset win over Middle Tennessee in the season opener when his 2-yard touchdown pass to Josh Jordan put McNeese up for good midway through the second quarter... he was filling in for Stroud who was injured a play earlier on a QB keeper... completed 7 of 9 passes on the season for 97 yards and two touchdowns... had a scoring strike against McMurry on a 52-yarder to Darius Carey... finished with 72 yards on 3 of 4 passing for the game.

2011:  redshirted.

High School: first team all-district honors as a senior and named to the Texas Sports Writers Association honorable mention team... passed for 4,561 yards, 57 touchdowns and a 57 percent completion rate during his three years as QB at Montgomery HS... completed 143 of 248 for 1,857 yards and 27 tds and just five interceptions as a senior... named all-district honorable mention as a junior and was the district’s offensive newcomer of the year his sophomore season... three-time academic all-district and was honorable mention academic all-state his senior year... member of the National Honor Society... Mike Ogg Scholar Athlete as a senior.
