An injury sidelined him last season and he didn’t have any contact work during the spring but he could see action this year...was one of the top prep quarterbacks during his career at Central High School

High School: one of the top quarterbacks in the state for Central HS...named the state’s top classification offensive player of the year his senior season..first team all-state...in senior year completed 188 of 283 passes for 3,080 yards and 38 tds...only had two passes intercepted...also ran for 221 yards on 82 carries...averaged 254 total yards per game....career statistics for 31 games had him completing 399 of 680 passes (58.7 pct) for 5,848 yards and 60 tds...had 6,452 total yards and 208.1 ypg average...teamed up with twin brother (Wes, also a member of Cowboy squad) to form one of the top pass and catching duos in the state...named offensive MVP both district and metro teams...was a Warrick Dunn award finalist...honor student with 3.5 GPA...also a basketball letter winner (forward)
