Eric Willis, a 2011 and 2014 graduate of McNeese, is in his first year as a full-time assistant coach after serving the previous two seasons as the team’s director of basketball operations.
His duties includes working with the Cowboys' guards, scouting, film exchange and coordinating travel.
The Oakdale native spent three seasons as the team’s manager and graduate assistant prior to being promoted to director of operations at the start of the 2014-15 season.
He was elevated to his current assistant coach spot after longtime coach Steve Welch retired during the summer.
Willis graduated from Oakdale High School where he lettered both basketball and track. He received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from McNeese in 2011 and his master’s degree in exercise physiology in 2014.
