Eric Willis, a 2011 (bachelors) and 2014 (masters) graduate of McNeese, is in his second year as a full-time assistant coach serving as the team’s director of basketball operations.
The Oakdale native spent three seasons as the team’s manager and graduate assistant prior to being promoted to his current position before the start of the 2014-15 season.
His duties as the director of basketball operations includes film exchange, travel accomodations, coordinating camps and other things assigned by head coach Dave Simmons. As a coach he works with the Cowboy guards.
Willis graduated from Oakdale High School where he lettered both basketball and track. He received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from McNeese in 2011 and his master’s degree in exercise physiology in 2014.
