Patrick Haynes is now in his fourth season as a full time assistant coach with the Cowboys. He had previously served as director of basketball operations and has come up through the ranks.
Among his duties with the Cowboys are recruiting, on floor coaching as well as serving as the team’s video coordinator, travel coordinator and overseeing the team managers and facilities.
An outstanding student, Haynes spent five seasons as the head manager for the basketball team, working under current head coach Dave Simmons and former head coach Tic Price.
A native of New Orleans, he is a graduate of St. Augustine High School where he was both a basketball and tennis athlete.
At McNeese State he majored in both Business and General Studies and obtained his degrees in 2008.
Haynes has also served as a counselor at summer basketball camps under present coach Simmons and former coach Price.
