Sophomore Season (2010-2011): played only the first half of the season...in 15 games he averaged 5.1 points and 1.4 rebounds per game...got in one start, that against Southwest Assemblies when he scored a career high 20 points (also game high)...made seven of 10 shots from the floor, among them a four for seven effort at the three point range...also had 16 points in win over Louisiana College...made 42.1 percent of his three point shots for the season (16 of 38)

Freshman Season(2009-2010): played in 21 games but didn not get a start...aqveraged 2.1 points per game, making 18 of 39 field goals and seven of 19 three point shots..seconde leading scorer in victory over Paul Quinn with 15 points..was six of 11 fro the florr in that game...top scoring effort in a conference game was eight points against Sam Houston State...saw his most action in games with Paul Quinn (21 minutes), Louisiana College (14 minutes), Central Arkansas (13 minutes) and Louisiana Tech (11 minutes)....in season ending Central Arkansas game he scored seven points, making three of four field goals and one of two free throw attempts.

Pre-McNeese:  Averaged 17.5 points, six assists and six rebounds per game last year in helping Ouachita High to a state title... was a leader on a team that went 39-4... prep coach Casey Jones said of Mitchell, "his top days as a basketball player are ahead of him... he's going to develop into an outstanding collegiate point guard... he really shoots the ball well."... he was one of four players off the team to sign with a college... also a standout defensive player... named to all-district team and second team all-state... earned four letters

Personal: Birthdate October 17, 1990... General Studies major... parents are Jerome Mitchell and Tracey Zeigler... father played basketball at Texas Southern.
