Preston David comes into the season with a chance at holding down a starting role.  He will be expected to control the low post area on the defensive end as well as score his swhare of points on offense.  Could become a standout at blocking shots and altering shots.

Junior Season (2009-2010): turned in some outstanding games late in the season...had standout game in victory against Northwestern State, scoring 11 (5 of 6 from the floor)  points and pulling eight rebounds..had nine points and five rebounds in 24 minuets against Louisiana College...four for four and eight points against Nicholls..started seven games and played in 26...made 50 percent of his field goal attempts.

Sophomore Season (2008-2009): Played in 13 games and scored eight points and pulled 15 rebounds... also blocked five shots... game high of two points which he scored in outings with ULM, Southern Miss and Northwestern State... had a game and career high of six rebounds he pulled against ULM... had two blocked shots against Central Arkansas.

Freshman Season (2007-2008): Saw action in 16 games and scored six points and pulled 16 rebounds... he scored two points in three different games and had a game high of three rebounds against Louisiana College... made 50 percent of his shots from the floor...

Pre-McNeese: Averaged 12 points and seven rebounds per game his senior season at R. L. Turner High... earned second team all-district honors and was named the basketball team’s athlete of the year... earned two letters...won the Butch Lusby award for athletics during his career

Personal: birthdate February 21, 1989... parents are Lloyd and Keva McNeal David... sister Severina played volleyball at Sam Houston State and UT Dallas... Mass Communications major
