Biography
Prior to McNeese at Florida SW State College:
2021-22 Season (Sophomore):
• Played in 28 games and averaged 8.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
• Scored double-digits in 10 games and had 20 or more points twice.
• Career-high 28 points against Pasco-Hernando State College.
• Sank 42 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range.
• Team finished with a 24-6 record and appeared in the FCSAA DI State/NJCAA District Tournament Semifinals.
2020-21 Season (Freshman):
• Played in 21 games as freshman a season ago, averaging 4.4 points and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 41% from the three point line for FSW.
• He had a pair of breakout games, scoring 13 in a Southern Conference win over State College of Florida before setting a new career high with 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting in a win over Pasco-Hernando.
High School:
• Blackwell played at Baldwin High School in New York where he averaged 15.5 points and 7.2 assists per game as a senior to earn All-Conference and All-County honors.
• He helped lead his team to a conference championship and the sharpshooter was the winner of the Long Island 3-Point Contest in 2019. He spent his post grad season at Combine Academy.
Personal:
• Born on Independence Day 2000, he is the son of Kory and Sonja Blackwell. His father Kory played in the NFL for both the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns.
• He has two brothers, Karon who played at Dillard University, and Chey.
