Will Brown is a transfer from the University of New Mexico who served out a redshirt season last year. He will mark his first competitive season with the Cowboys this year, playing as a junior.

Pre-McNeese:  he played two seasons at New Mexico and averaged 4.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in 35 games last year...he made 49.2 percent of his field goals and 50 percent of his free throws...he was second on the team in blocked shots with 32 in conference games only he averaged 4.9 points a game...game highs were 11 points against Texas Tech and seven rebounds vs New Mexico State...as a freshman he played in 32 games and started one...he had a 1.9 scoring and a 2.2 rebounding average...his highs as a freshman were 10 points (vs Ole Miss) and six rebounds (vs Air Force)...he played high school ball at Woodrow Wilson HS (three years) in Dallas...and his senior year at Patterson Prep...averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds per game in the 2006-2007 season...and 125 points and eight rebounds per game at the prep school...named first team all-district ..was rated a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and Scout.com...named the top power forward signee in the Mountain West Conference by Rivals.com in 2008...ranked in the top 10 by TexasHoops.com after his junior prep season...
