High School: A 2-time state champion in the javelin throw in Class 2A in 2012 and 2013 while at Pine Prairie High School... lettered four years in track and four in football... earned All-Parish honors in football as a quarterback.
Other: Born May 30, 1995... son of Rickey and Deneé Vidrine... brother, Sam, was a 2-time Southland champion in the javelin throw for the Cowboys in 2010 and 2011 and earned All-American honors after a 6th place finish at the 2010 NCAA Championships... father was a javelin thrower for ULL... full name is John Paul Vidrine but likes to go by J.P... majoring in business.
