Alexis Otero is in her second season as assistant coach, joining the staff in 2023. The native of Chula Vista, California is a former San Diego State and Quinnipiac letterwinner.
Following her two-year stint at Quinnipiac, Otero transferred to San Diego State where she spent the 2023 season. Here she played in 37 games and started in 24 and produced a .244 batting average with 19 hits, two doubles, one triple, one home run, and nine RBI.
While at Quinnipiac, Otero batted .222 with two home runs, 25 RBIs, 16 runs and nine walks while starting in 10 games and played in 11 games in 2020 before the season was canceled due to COVID.
She was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team in 2019, playing in 50 games with 49 starts at first base with a .232 average, two homers, 24 RBIs and 14 runs.
