Pam LaFosse is in her 43rd overall year at McNeese and 31st year as an Assistant Sports Communications Director, having joined the department full-time for the 1994-95 school year when she became the departments first full-time assistant.

The Gueydan, La., native, has been at the university since 1982, serving as a four-year women’s basketball letterwinner and a member of the Cowgirls first Southland Conference Women's Basketball Championship team in 1986.

A 1987 graduate of McNeese, LaFosse spent a few years as an SID student assistant and graduate assistant before being hired to her current position. LaFosse was tudored by the legendary McNeese Sports Information Director, Louis Bonnette.

LaFosse serves as the primary contact for the Cowgirls indoor volleyball, women’s basketball, softball and women's tennis teams while assisting with football, women's soccer, beach volleyball and men’s basketball along with other day-to-day duties within the communications office.

Since her hiring, LaFosse has helped publicize the softball team to 10 Southland Conference regular season championships, nine conference tournament titles and nine NCAA Regional appearances along with two women’s basketball NCAA Tournaments (2011, 2012).
She handled the publicity efforts in helping former Cowgirl great Erika Piancastelli earn NFCA All-America honors in 2015 and 2016 and Justyce McClain's Softball America All-America honor in 2019. She also handled the publicity for the first McNeese volleyball All-American (Bailey Tillman) in 2023.

LaFosse is a member of CoSIDA and the Louisiana Sports Writers Association. She has garnered several LSWA awards and her 2014 women’s basketball media guide cover was voted the nation's best cover by CoSIDA.
