Matt LeBato enters his second season with the Cowgirls, serving as a student manager. LeBato comes from a basketball family where the game was instilled in him at a very young age.
The native of Sulphur, Louisiana, is a 2015 graduate of Northwestern State. He was a member of the Demons men's basketball team during the 2014-15 season. Prior to attending Northwestern State, LeBato attended Baton Rouge Community College.
LeBato was a four year letter winner for Sulphur High where he was coached by his father, Clint.
Served as an assistant coach at St. Louis Catholic High in Lake Charles for one season, LeBato helped the Saints to a 25-5 overall record, undefeated district record and a Top 28 appearance. He also coached the JV team to a 14-3 season.
LeBato has spent time as a volunteer at IMPACT Basketball in Las Vegas, Nevada prior to the 2015-16 season where we worked with NBA players Kyle Lowry (Olympic Gold Medalist), Tayshaun Prince, Stanley Johnson, Andre Drummond and many more.
LeBato has an undergraduate degree in Mass Communications and a graduate degree in Excercise Physiology.
He is the son of Clint and Jill LeBato and has one brother, Micah.Â
